On Saturday I went with Charlene and her mom and dad to their lake lot for some water activities! Whee!
I got to her acreage at about 1130 (earlier than planned) and helped family unload the groceries, got a lesson on making the proper mixture for motorboat gasoline as well as watching her dad make the finishing touches on the motorboat motor.
When we got to the Lake we first went tubing together on one tube. Lemme tell ya, it was fun and difficult. I lauged so much I couldn’t talk. Getting back onto the tube was a difficult affair, requiring Charlene to get on first and try to help lift me in. It ended up with my head right at her crotch while I take a breather cuz I’m laughing too hard to make the effort to get in! Getting pulled around was great, the light wind made the ride extra bumpy at times and after a couple of bounces and I end up lying on top of Charlene.
It’s ok though, at one other point, we were sitting upright in the tube while getting pulled very slowly to a less weedy spot on the lake when her dad slowed right down, the front of our tube dipped right into the water and we went head first Charlene landing on top of me!
Charlene dazzled me with her waterskiing skills and I’ve got plenty of video of her getting up, jetting around and one of her trying to get up on one ski.
My turn, and I’m not so impressive. Tried at least a half dozen times, I almost get up but then my left ski starts to turn left, and my right ski starts to go right and I end up doing the splits! So I never actually made it up but I think if I got the right adjustments to the skis I think I could do it.
Charlene had warned me about “her” lake. The water was not blue, it was green. There were lots of reeds and all that jazz. It seemed ok to me, I think because she prepared me. How thoughtful of her to make her lake sound gross so that my expectations wouldn’t be too high! hahah.. her lake lot has an outhouse. She didn’t prepare me for that though!
I am extremely sore right now. My arms, pecs and thighs hurt to move. It’s a good hurt though, except when I was shopping with Angela today and I had a har time trying on the clothes…. I wonder how Charlene is…
