Ian: havnt done much yet, lots of walking. prices aren’t
as bad as I thought it would be, you can get a nice bowl of ramen for
240Y at just about any station. I applied for a job today at a pizza
restaurant for 900Y/hr because the jobs are slim pickings for being
under 20, without english teaching certifcation. The provided
accomodations wasn’t bad, and the bathrooms were nice and was in a
decently busy area. The place we got after the 2 nights is kinda
small in more ghetto and the rooms were kinda dirty (We spent a day
cleaning our rooms). The girls were promised that they were bunking
with 2 other girls and would move to a private 2-bed room after a
month. When we got here, they were in a room with 2 guys. One was a
brown engineer and was pretty cool, but the other was a japanese guy
with a lot of gay porn who hadn’t been back for several months. They
found used condoms under one of their beds. The guy that was in our
room left pretty much everything he owned and was pretty nasty. We
found a box with a note saying “dont touch, be back soon”. What the
hell is up with that! We’re in here for a month and its not bad after
cleaning everything. we’re complaining to the manager but he’s
pulling the “me no understandy engli” crap, even though they promised
5000Y each tennant for not meeting standards such as “clean room”
