Hungover, Rayleen backed out of skydiving. Understandable, who wants to skydive while you’re hungover!?
I was pretty excited about it. I pumped myself and the gals up about it before we even left and they were willing to give it a try. Actually, I had no expectations about it. I didn’t expect they would actually do it. I had just wanted them to give me the opportunity to do it myself. But they surprised me by coming along and I didn’t bother to let them back out.
They give you a 5 minute video and a waiver to sign. That was the point I almost lost Kelly and Cindy! Thankfully, Warren, our instructor, told them that there was never a major accident and we would have 2 instructors in the tunnel since all 5 of us were newbies.
We, and 2 others, got deck out in our regalia. Kelly and I got the easy fly suits that pretty much guarantee flight, while Cindy got another suit becuase of her concerns with her arm (had surgery on it way back when). One guy, like 6’5″ and 250lbs. got a suit nicknamed the giant booger!
We got three flights out of it. The last one had Timmy fly with us for stability and with the extra air surface, we went up and down three storeys(what I like to call three storeys, I don’t really know)!
Pic to come later.
