Career Fair

Adam and I checked out the Canada Career Week Fair on Saturday and listened to a Q&A called “Ask Me What It’s Like to be A … FireFighter”. It was a really good talk with some pretty good questions asked about firefighting in Edmonton. We even got to speak to him one on one after […]

Canadian Finals Rodeo Pics

(Doesn’t Ange look great in the cowgirl hat?!) Friday I went to the CFR with Angela and Adam. I don’t know why it took me so long to go but it’s pretty cool to see these cowboys ride. There was this team roping event that I’d never heard of where one rider ropes a calf […]

Getting punk’d and other work related stuff

Imagine my surprise when I walk out of the office at lunch to go buy something when I find my windshield wipers sticking up with paper strips hanging all over them. Leftover paper bits all over the car. I was punk’d! Not a big deal but Ohn was definately laughing pretty hard. Brent made mention […]

Freezing Rain

Last night we had freezing rain so this morning I spent a good 10 minutes scraping it off the car thereby being late for work. On the plus side, the temperature is nice and warm and today seems like a great day to be outside because it is hovering around 0C.

21 Pages Done!!

oh yes, my most productive getaway ever! Last time I think I only did about 5 pages while everyone else had at least 10! Didn’t get a massage or facial (I don’t even know what’s involved in a facial but sounded cool) and on the first night Ray and I were the first to head […]

For those who don’t know, anyone can pack a present to be delivered to a needy child overseas. You pick up shoeboxes(or use your own shoebox) […]

Getaway Retreat

The Great Gathering Getaway Retreat for a whole weekend of scrapbooking might be a bit much for me but since it’s being held at the Village Creek Country Inn I’m sure I can squeeze in a massage or facial or something somewhere for a break from the scrapbooking.

Canadian Finals Rodeo

The Canadian Finals Rodeo is this weekend and unfortunately I booked myself into a scrapbooking retreat for the same weekend. I’ve never been to the finals but they are selling tickets for $10.00 so had I not been prebooked, I would be going. It’s cheaper than a movie! If you find the finals boring, you […]

Happy Halloween!

The ragtag workers who dressed up for halloween. This evening I hope to make it to Beau and Jana’s annual Haunted House to have a squizz! Edit: Beau and Jana’s haunted house was pretty impressive again this year. I came late so I missed some of the most impressive new improvements because the actors/deadbodies were […]

Good Weekend

Woke up this morning Saturday morning to a gorgeous view of a blanket of white snow covering the dry pond in the backyard. The temperature was still close to zero so walking around outside was very appealing to me. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t seen snow in 2 years but there’s something […]
