Mish has written an excellent comment on her reasons for No China this month here. I thought I’d write that it’s really an awareness that has awaken me to all the products that are made in sweatshops everywhere, not just China. One of my customers even told me about the Sweaties Awards, a dubious honour that recognizes corporations for their support or use of sweatshops. Disney, Wal-Mart, and even The Bay all have gotten on the list. There’s also Maquilasolidarity.org that is a blog that informs readers about sweatshops and also holds the vote for the Sweaties Awards.
