On Sunday I went with Adam to BUMP harescramble out near Busby. This 15km race was very organized with a concession stand, outhouses, and even a program!
One of Adam’s co-workers came out to race as well. He has an old bike and raced in his work coveralls and managed to complete one lap before DNFing.
Adam placed 4th overall in his class. Again, just missing that podium. Awesome finish though considering he lost his Camelbak half way through the race and ran the rest of it very dehydrated. Sounds like the course was very technical with lots of narrow trees and large uphills. There was even a huge log that everyone either had to get off and walk their bike under or take a chance and duck as they rode beneath it. (That’s how he lost his backpack)
