Ange, Winnie and I went to Josh Groban last night. The tickets were discounted so Winnie bought last minute and there were empty seats around us so we just moved to another location and sat together.
It was really good. His silky voice is easy on the ears(haha). He has a very likable and approachable personality. He made light of his many classical love ballads and then proceeded to play snippets of Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead or Alive and other rock songs that he said inspired him. The Violinist played a song that lead right into Led Zepplin’s Kashmir.
At one point he walked through the crowd and for one song he sang a duet with the lead singer of his opening act; a West African band called Angellic Kidjo.
