Taking the PER train out to Versaille was easy and it’s just a 5 minute walk from the station.
There are many peddlers just inside the gate hawking versaille/eurodisney wares.
Hall of mirrors was very cool, and the Napoleanic furniture very cool!
(My posts are getting shorter and lamer as we get along…)
The gardens are HUGE! Pools/fountains the size of lakes, maze-ish feeling wandering through some bushes on either side of the fountains. I think I could live here 😉 The walk from the castle to the end of the gardens and back takes over an hour.
We walked half way, towards the paddleboat launch, bike rental and restaurant and hopped on an electric tram back to the castle. Past by a sheep farm, numerous other fountains and mazes.
Here’s a shot Rob took while we had lunch at one of the cafe’s in Versaille:
Spent the evening in the Latin Quarter, wandering the area seeing which restaurant manager was best at luring us into their restaurant. Had wonderful “sieu yeh” of chocolate and cream covered cream puffs. yum!!
I wanted to go into the bar that had the topless men serving drinks on fire but for some reason Rob didn’t want to…
My 2 Swiss roomates didn’t get in until 430am!! Totally work me up and made a ton of noise!
