Mohan (Lao boarder) to Mengla – 12 Yuan
Mengla to Jinhong – 30.5 Y (4 and a half hours).
Jinhong to Baoshan – 150 Y (sleeper bus, 24 hours).
Baoshan to (old) Dali – 40 Y (2 and a half hours). New Dali to Dali (old), catch #4 bus around the corner from the main bus stop (2 Y – half an hour). #3 hotel (Dali), 15 Y each. Do it yourself washing machine, free. 3 Pagodas, 50 Y each.
Dali to Lijiang 35 Y (3 and a half hours). Mosue family G.H. – 15 Y per bed, very clean!
Lijiang to Qiaotou (tiger leaping gorge) – 12 Y (3 hours). This is a trek, so the hours mean walking time. Two and a half hour walk from Qiaotou to Naxi G.H. – 10 Y dorms. (Naxi’s are better than Nazi’s)
Naxi Family to Tea Horse (lunch) 3 hours. Tea Horse to Halfway House – Two more hours, 10 Y per bed. This place has a “toilet with a view”. Worth the stay for that alone!
Tea Horse G.H. to Woody’s – 2 hours, 10 Y.
From Woody’s 2 (not the same as Woody’s) we hired a jeep for 40 Y each back to Lijiang (two hours).
Lijiang to Zhongdian – 29 Y (4 hours). The Dragon Cloud G.H. – 15 Y per bed. A great place with friendly people and over 300 DVD’s to watch whenever. Jean was especially nice. Bicycles – 3 Y per hour.
Zhongdian to Diquin – 38 Y (7 hours). Diquin to Feilai Si 30 Y for six people, minibus. Only two G.H.’s there, we took the cheaper of the two – 15 Y.
Feilai Si to Zhongdian – By chartered jeep, 50 Y per person.
Zhongdian to Daochen – 98 Y (bus, 9 hours). Beautiful ride though! G.H. with no name 15 Y. No toilet, so feel free to go where ever!
Daochen to Kangdin – 120 Y (13 hours) Very Beautiful!! Ti Nin hotel 15 Y, on the old disco floor!
Kangdin to Chengdu – 100 Y
Chengdu – Holly Hostel 15 Y dorms, with free do it yourself washing machine. Traffic Hotel and Sams – 40 Y dorms.
