Open Water Divers, Almost
Friday, December 29th, 2006We’ve started our course and today we had our fist open water dive! Despite my skepticism and nervousness about completing more skills I did it, yay. Today: green moray eel, stargazer, parrot fish, lots of fish I have no idea what they are but that are really really pretty, gorgeous brilliant coral, sharing a regulator with a buddy and ascending, descending to 40 feet, and swimming sans mask and also pretending to ascend without a regulator. Que bueno! Also on the menu: sand flies, a final exam, and people playing dominoes out in the street slapping the tiles on the glass table with gusto. Island tradition I suppose.
