INTERNSHIPS OVER!
Today was my last day at Basketball Australia and although I will miss my co-workers I will NOT miss waking up at 5:30am every morning and the 9 hour work day and 3 hour commute! Today was a particularly good day at work because the Melbourne Cup (the huge horse races like the kentucky derby) was taking place in Melbourne, and at 3:00pm right before the big race, my co-workers stopped working, pulled out the booze (wine, champaign and beer) and a whole spread of food (meets, cheeses, chips, crackers, candy etc) and sat and watched the race and proceeded to socialize for the rest of the day! They also took that time when everyone in the office was gathered to thank me and give me an awesome “Basketball Australia” trucker hat and Austalian Boomers (Australian National Team) beenie! SWEET!!!
And in case any of you were ever curious as to what my co-workers/office or what a “day in the life” at Basketball Australia was like, I took 23 pictures today to paint that picture for you! Last day of class tomorrow.. then, fretting all weekend about an english paper due next wed that I am dreading writing. There is the Traci you all know and love!!! I just need to get it over with.. but starting is the WORST part!!!

Awww, Traci! WUUUU HUUUUUU!!!!! I’m happy for you and sad for me. We had our sewer back up last night and I was literally cleaning up turds in my basement. EUEWWWWWW, YUCK!!! GROSS!!!!!!!! Although it was the most disgusting thing I have ever done, Brian and I had to laugh about it and make the best of it because when you are doing something that gross, you have to make light out of the situation. Thought you may get a kick out of that. Guess what? That job STUNK, LITERALLY!!!!!! Unreal! I’m sure you can picture me on my hands and knees with my rubber gloves on cleaning up old poop and toilet paper. AHHHH!!!
In all seriousness, I’m really happy that you are done with you internship. I’m glad to hear it. Hang in there now girlfriend!

Seeing “November 1” on your blog date makes me so happy. This is the month you will be back.

Hey Babe,
It is so hard to believe it is November 5th. Your internship is over. Your paper is almost over 🙂 and you will soon be back home with all of us…….YEAH! Enjoy the rest of your days in AU. The time will go soooooo fast.
Nick’s comment was very cute and I know how he feels.
Healther’s blog made me laugh out loud for minutes. It was such a gross thing to have her sewer back, but the way she described it was hysterical. Her and Brian were able to maintain their sense of humor. That will be a story to tell for years 🙂
