We were caught outside yesterday during a brief, light evening rain. When we returned home, we noticed lots of little black flakes on our face. Of course we took photos because we knew you might not believe us. We swear the flakes are not due to a dirty lens…it’s from the rain.

We had a genuine from Cairo Egyptian visit my elementary school the other day. He’s an international student at the local university. He said that he thinks it would probably be easier for an American to live in Cairo than in Japan. As you’ve done both now (how many people can say that??) what’s your take?
