Rushing madly around

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

Have 3 job trials set up for Wed/Thu. (Canceled Ouzo, got a new one at Winters – VERY trendy, good pay, mix of waiting/bar tending, but I’ll have to get a cab home every night.) 4 flat viewings today. 2 in Ranelagh, 1 in Terenure, and 1 on Rathgar Road. Have to go get my PPS number so I can file for taxes. Going to try to see the fireworks tonight, but who knows if it’ll pan out.

Job hunting

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I’m taking a break for my feet. I’ve walked through Donnybrook, Ranalagh, Rathmines, and now I’m headed to city center before heading back to Rathmines and back home. I saw an apartment in Donnybrook this morning – SO CUTE. I really want it – but we’ll see if I get it. I have another viewing tomorrow and I need to make some more calls tonight.

So far I’ve dropped my CV off at about 15 places, and I can’t tell you how many more have turned me down. The only responses so far are for watressing. I’m going into a very cute place called Toast on Wednesday. It looks very promising, even if it isn’t bartending. Thats it from here. I’ll head into city center – swing back and hit 3 closed places with signs on the way from Rathmines, and we’ll see how it goes.
