Vista del lago Pichola y la parte oeste de la ciudad con las montañas al fondo , en lo alto de la montaña esta el Monsson Palace , donde se ven unas puestas de sol impresionantes , al otro lado de estas montañas esta el desierto Thar y despues Pakistan .

View of Lake Pichola and the west of the city with hills in the background. At the top of thye hill you can make out the Monsoon palace, from where you can see amazing sunsets! On the otherside of the mountains is the Thar Desert and after that Pakistan.
Udaipur’s claim to fame is as the set to the James Bond Octopussy movie, every restaurant and hotel in town shows the moview like clockwork at 7.30 pm every night!!!

Here is a view of the “Floating Palace”, also on Lake Pichola. This palace was constructed by the Maharaja, and is now a deluxe 5* hotel. It was also used to protect westerners when the Indians revolted against British Raj, in the 1857 uprising.

Vista del palacio flotante tambien en el lago Pichola . Este palacio fue construido por el Maharaja , y ahora es un hotes de super lujo . Tambien fue utilizazo para protejer extranjeros en la revolucion india contra los Britanicos en 1857.

This is us at the Monsoon Palace with the beautiful sunset behind. Almost thought the rickshaw wasn’t going to make it to the top with the steep roads and us two big weights in the back!!!
Aqui estamos en el Monsoon Palace con una puesta de sol como pocas . Este palacio esta encima de una montaña , rodeado de un parque natural con tigres y demas animalillos silvestres , no sabiamos si el autorickshaw iba a poder subir con nuestro peso.

Sadhu at Jagdish Temple , the old man sitting down is a Sadhu, a hindu priest.
Templo Hindu Jagdish, el hombre sentado es un Sadhu , un sacerdote hindu, al entrar tienes que dejar los zapatos.

Women laborers – Udaipur
This photo is not very artistic but I was shocked to see that in India they used woman and sometimes kids for buildings construction, bit by bit they were transporting concrete to the top of the building in buckets on top of their head , also I saw them in Delhi ,doing some roads , they usually live and sleep on the spot until is finished , and the kids and babies are not very far.

Mujeres trabajando – Udaipur
Esta foto puede que no sea muy artistica , pero quiero enseñarla porque me impresiono que para la construccion de edificios y carreteras utilizaran a mujeres , en esta foto estan subiendo hormigon poco a poco en cuencos apoyados sobre la cabeza , normalmente viven y duermen ahi en la calle hasta que la obra esta acabada, los churumbeles los estan con ellas durante el tiempo que dure.
