Day 7 – San Fransisco

The first event of the day was finding the group breakfast room which was actually located in another section of the hotel on the other side of the block. The weather outside was getting cooler (still can’t get used to get colder as you head North – it’s the opposite in Australia) so we rugged up.

The itinery for the day was touring and thats what we did. We saw some beautiful churches and buildings and then headed up the hill for a fantastic view of the city (think Castle Hill in Townsville). SF just stretched for as far as the eye can see.

We finished the day with a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge (which is actually red but hey!). We got off the bus to take some photos and were then informed that the bus would meet us at the other end. We had to walk across the bridge. It may take about an hour to walk across but it was so worth it. The views were spectacular. We saw Alcatraz from the bridge which is destination for tomorrow.
