Well Im heading back on the road
So Ive been home for Christmas, caught up with friends and family, recovered from my three month trip around S E Asia ( oh I do miss those far away places! )
So since Ive been home I thought it to be a good idea to see parts of my own country that I have not seen as yet. If you think of it most of us travel and yet miss out on so much that is right on our own doorstep.
So whilst Ive been here I have visited some of the most “English” places in England with my friends Steven, Hayley and Kathleen.
Firstly we visited Worcester cathedral and spent some time walking around the small streets.
We then headed to Malvern Hills which again I have never visited before ans was alittle taken back by the views.
Could not have asked for better weather for the time of year, we were so high, you could see for miles. To top it off a Chinook Helicopter came flying over the hills and went over us no more than 20 feet above us.
The afternoon/early evening we headed to Ludlow, after taking probably the longest possible route there we eventually made it and went to a little coffee shop for a drink before looking around the town.
The following day we headed to Stratford upon Avon the Birthplace of William Shakespeare. A very interesting day seeing where he lived, his grave at Holy Trinity Church
, his wifes ( Ann Hathaway) families cottage.
We had to rush off though from there as we had tickets to see Great Expectations at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
The only damper on the day was that after the show we went for a quick drink and the car parking ticket had expired about 15 minutes before we returned to the car and found that it had a £30 parking ticket slapped on it ( merry Christmas to Traffic Wardens )
