Day 33, Motorbiking around Phnom Penh

Well today is our first full day here and its a public bank holiday so everything is pretty much closed….

This is gonna be a short entry, huray I hear you cry!!!!!

Mat and I hired motorbikes, put the girls on the back and blasted around the city, traffic here is really bad but slowish, we only saw one accident all day ( wich is a supprise) to bikes hit each other, one T boning the other!!!!

As I say most things closed so we just got to know our way around the city getting lost a few times. Stopped and grabbed some food a french resturant, I couldnt finish mine and gave half to a little lad aged 8 who was walking the street in rags trying to sell books, he soon lapped it up….

Keep telling these kids I dont need scarfs, books, if though sold beer it would be a different story…..

We bumped into Peter the Dutch guy we met in Siem Reap he is also off to Vietnam so will meet up with him there for a beer we hope.

After surviving the day we headed back for a lazy night of pool, dvds and sleeping in hamocks over looking the lake ( need to get picture )

Mat and I decided to go for a blast on our bikes around midnight which according to everything you read you dont go out at that time, I can see why now…. Talk about not feeling safe and soooo many really doggy looking people after 20minutes ( we were ok though as no one could stop us at the speeds we went ) home to bed, heading for a big/ horrible day 2moro!!!!
