July 02, 2005Noosa
I abdicated from the skanky backpacker lifestyle for a couple of wonderful days when I stayed at Carolyn and David's house in Noosa. Carolyn is the Finance Manager at the company I worked for in Sydney, and I last saw them in Russia. It was strange to meet again in tropical Queensland, but it was great to see them. Their house was beautiful - airy and spacious - and set in rainforest with a creek, a boardwalk and a Balinese style gazebo. At least, it was what I think a gazebo is - a small hut, right? Anyone? I ate like a king and slept like I was dead, and caught up on all the news. Carolyn and David took me sightseeing around the Sunshine Coast, to the various towns that make up Noosa (Noosa Heads, Noosaville...) and the surrounding area. We saw the waterfalls, wandered around Mortville and visited a beach. I felt like I got to see everything there was to see, and in style! |
