Hell is the China Post
In by far our strangest experience so far in China, we decided to try and mail a package back to my sister in Indiana from the China Post in Lijiang. A few small tapestries, a box containing a set of jade chopsticks and a one page letter -- all in all about a half pound worth of stuff. Although we expected it may be expensive...it shouldn't be too difficult, right? Right?Read this update

Changing perspectives
Whether we've simply been traveling enough to begin to adjust or whether the Yunnan Province is just a nicer place, we're actually starting to enjoy China. It still has more than its share of frustrations, but we no longer go to sleep dreading the next day. In fact, we actually worry about our visa running out of time before we've finished seeing what we want before heading to Laos.Read this update

Disney China is much easier than Real China
Finally we found a place in China that is relaxing, easy to get around and has all sorts of good food. Unfortunately, it is about as much "real" China as Cancun is "real" Mexico or Las Vegas is "real" America. But, hey, "real" China was kicking our butts so we were more than ready for the relief that Yangshuo in the Guangxi province offered us.Read this update
