February 06, 2005After the wedding
So, after the wedding, we spent a couple more days on the island of Taveuni. We took a boat out and went snorkling at a reef. We saw the most amazing corals, fishes, and anemonies. Deborah taught Jim and I how to skin dive...it was all very exciting!! We also went out on the Lavena Costal walk which followed a trail along the coast and ended up in a river, where we got in and swam through a huge rock passage way to two amazing waterfalls. Everyone climbed up the smaller one and rode it down into the huge pool of water!! We all left the island at different times, the last of us left the morning of the 22nd and flew back to the main island, after tearful goodbyes to Pita and Lo. Jim and I spent the night in Nadi with family and left the next morning on a ferry to Treasure Island to treat ourselves for 3 days before transforming back into backpackers. Needless to say, we had a fabulous time on Treasure Island.... Most of the wedding photos were on Laura's camera and she's having a problem downloading them, so her's will be up in another week or so....some of you had mentioned that you were printing them...I'd wait till those are put up!
