It's a small world after all!

Shortly after the skydive we learned that our friend Anne Karpfinger (my friend from Marquette) was going to be in the same area as us! We tried to call her cell phone, but it wasn't on. We then decided that it would be a good idea to go into all of the campgrounds in the area and look for her...so we drove around with the windows open calling her name at every tent we saw.
Much to our surprise, after about a half an hour we arrived at a site and there she was! What a small world it truly is!
We bought a couple boxes of wine and caught up with her and Tessa, the woman she has been travelling with for the last couple of weeks.
The next day we all went hiking out to the Franz Josef glacier. The glacier is very unique in that it comes right up to the rainforest, and the ocean.
It was so refreshing to see someone from home, someone with whom you can pick right up with and skip the introductory conversations!

The next day we headed north and found a beautiful little secluded FREE campsite in Constant Bay. We set up camp and went for an amazing walk along the cliffs where the bright blue water was continually crashing into the rocks making crashes sounding like thunder. We sat upon the cliffs for hours, talking and watching the little blue penguins diving into the water below. As the sun set over the Tasman Sea we recognized, yet again how incredible this earth is, and how lucky we are to be along for the ride.
