June 28, 2005Welcome to reverse culture shock
Oh my goodness! So much has happened, it's hard to know where to begin. When I attempted to log-in to write this entry, I realised I was all rusty about what my username and password were - now when THAT happens, you KNOW you've left it too long between entries! In short, though, this entry comes to you from the 'Other Side' of the RTW experience. Yes, it's true - the unthinkable has happened, and the trip is at a close. Andrew and I are at home in Sydney (no - scratch that - we're actually at his parents' home!!), and reverse culture shock is biting hard. Inspired by the fact that so often I would read an RTW blog only to wonder what the hell happened when the travellers got home, I have decided to contine to chronicle the bizareness that is everyday life at a new blog entitled 'Runcible Spoon'. The new blog will be coming to you live from Sydney :) Do surf over and check it out at http://runciblespoon.typepad.com/runciblespoon/ And I will be ETERNALLY grateful to any hardy, travel-obessessed soul who writes comments and asks questions. It's very lonely over at 'Runcible Spoon' right now, and I miss being in the thick of a community of travellers. I love writing here at BnA, but I felt it was time to construct a blog that I could tinker with a little more. It's very much a work-in-progress, but it's muchly fun! See you soon! (Oh, and just so you know, it's all about post-travel blues right now. And I mean BLUES.) Comments
