Protecting your email address
Hi Beloved Commenters,
I know many of you probably fill in the email address field with a 'disposable' hotmail account or the like, so this won't apply to you.
However, if you are using a work or student account that you would like to keep reasonably spam-free, you might wish to 'protect' the address by putting round or square brackets into the address when you type it.
Like so: fuzzyboots9(@)hotmail.com
A random 'bot' searching the web for email addresses to spam won't take out the brackets, and the spam will therefore bounce. Any human (such as myself) wanting to contact you legitimately WILL take out the brackets.
Another method is to put something like this: fuzzyboots9@NOSPAMhotmail.com OR fuzzyboots9AThotmailDOTcom
Cheers.
