January 22, 2004Chinese New Year
Happy Chinese New Year!!!!! I've been hanging in Penang the last few days trying to make the most of my time here even though EVERYTHING is closed for the Chinese New Year. As soon as I can find an open shop to burn pics to a cd, I will put them up on the blog. Keep checking back. Comments
Hi Claudia, happy new year! Looks like your new camera is working out well for you - just got mine and am still figuring it out :) Novice, Have a good time!!! Where are you flying into and what's you plan?? Posted by: Claudia on January 23, 2004 06:29 AMHi Claudia (and a hi to Novice, 2 days girl) Its weird cos we're doing the opposite to you - we're heading to Penang. Went over the border from Singapore to Johor Bahru (mmm, one night maximum if you have to, without offence to anyone honeymooning there at present!) and are now in Kuala Lumpur.. Penang, how is it? Hope your cool. S Posted by: Sharon on January 23, 2004 01:06 PMSorry PC - 'Sharon' is Snazzy - I have blown my cover. I've just been reading some of your other stuff and have to say that 'same same' made me laff, one to add is 'up to you', heard this a million times after cab/songthaews (or however you bloody spell it!) and also, couldn't find a book on just 'Malaysia' - disappointing, and maybe a hole in the market - say no more... Posted by: Snazzy on January 23, 2004 01:22 PMSnazzy/Sharon, Penang is pretty dull to be honest. This whole Chinese New Year thing has the whole place at a stand still and I desperately want to move on. Nothing has been open for days, except the 7-11 and some crappy bars at night. I'm off to the Cameron Highlands tomorrow. Posted by: Claudia on January 24, 2004 02:13 AM |
