More Pampering

Ahhhhhh, facials.....

Today I went to the spa for a second day of pampering. Yesterday I went for an aromatherapy oil massage, rather than the violent Thai massage. It was heaven. I liked it so much, I made an appointment for a facial for today and somehow it was even better. All of the chunks of the Gobi Desert that were lodged in my protesting pores are now gone. I feel much better.

In my state of high relaxation, I went to my fav silver shop here in Chiang Mai, a place called NOVA. I had eyed up a heavy silver bracelet that looks like tree twigs the last time I was here but Ant dragged me out of the store. This time he wasn't here to restrain me, and I bought it after they said they'd customize it for me. If I didn't like it, they'd switch it back. I also bought my sister the classy more grown up piece of jewelry I promised I'd find her when she was here.

On Monday I will head back to Bangkok for a day and then fly out to Oregon. I can't believe this trip is almost over- it's gone by so quickly.

Mom: Please check email and reply. I've sent you a list of clothes I'd like you to send to Ant's. Thanks.

read, done.
My heart was in my mouth reading about lost documents. Happily, you are luxuriating and relaxing.
Love you,
Mom

Mom,

You should have seen the state I was in. Luckily, all turned out well. The facial was great. Thanks for sending the stuff to OR. What exactly did you send in the way of skirts/shirts?

I've always enjoyed facials much more than massages. Don't know why, but I find they relax me much more and you feel so much more refreshed afterwards. I'm in Thailand next week and can't wait to do the whole spa thing!

So, I am so freakin' psyched for you to get out here to Oregon! You're gonna love it! Enjoy the last few days of your trip - I can't wait to hear all the stories (well, I guess I've read most of them by now, but still!) Also, check your email - I have a friend in Thailand that's going to email you and maybe you two can get together.
See ya next week!!!

Well, I restrained myself yesterday... I only bought about $5-6 worth of goodies, which would have cost like $30 in the States. Herbal oils, snazzy soaps, tea baths, etc. I sense decadence today though because it's Sunday and on Sundays there is a cool street market down the street from my top notch tropical guesthouse. I tried to get Ant to eat bugs with me when he was here, but I'll have to do it on my own today.
