July 30, 2003I Hate Tevas
I hate feet. I really dislike toes. However, wearing boots throughout Asia is not something I want to do. So, I was going to go buy myself a pair of the dreaded "hippie" sandals for my trip when I discovered an old pair of Tevas in my garage. They had somehow made it through the move from old house to new. Now, I really hate feet, but feet in Tevas (which are second only to Birkenstocks) are something that make me ill. So, on this trip I am going to force myself to get over it. They are 1 of 2 pairs of shoes I am taking so if I don't get over it, I will have some really hot sweaty feet. I hope I can cope! Comments
OMG, I hate feet too. Seriously, men in sandals are one of my biggest pet peeve. Girls in sandals aren't so bad, but some of them still make me cringe. I'm gonna have to get over the phobia as well. My fake Tevas don't expose most of the feet though, and I'm gonna keep it that way. It's the long fingerlike toes that really kill me. Or the women whose toenails are super long?? ICK!! Posted by: Claudia on August 1, 2003 12:06 AMBiggest pet peeve, huh? I'm doubly happy I wore my Tevas when C & I first met ;-) I really don't get the whole anti-sandal thing - it seems a Northeast phenomenon. There's more to life than regular shoes, and long live the sandal! Posted by: Ant on August 1, 2003 02:19 AMI hated those sandals when I first saw you, but I also saw those big eyes, and they distracted me. :) Posted by: Claudia on August 1, 2003 09:34 AMAren't you glad I saved all your stuff? Some of the stuff is bound to come in handy. At least it saved money. Awwww... and I thought that one of the reasons you dug me is my persistence in getting you to admit that you really don't find sandals all *that* bad :-) Seriously though, there are just times where they're so much more comfy. Who wants to wear boots all over India, after all? Or in SE Asia? Bugger that with a banana pancake! Posted by: Ant on August 2, 2003 12:29 AMOk, but sometime guys in thongs (sandals, not underwear ;) look really sexy....with casual baggy type jeans, a nice butt(kinda key to pulling off the image) and an undone button done shirt. Mmmm hehe Posted by: Dewbie on August 6, 2003 02:35 AMNope, Tevas still suck. I wore them up Arthur's Seat today and my feet were shreaded. Maybe my feet are still getting used to them.... Posted by: Claudia on August 6, 2003 11:02 AMHi, you have no idea who I am but I couldn't help but comment on my intense hate for feet. Long bony toes and stubby little ugly things, and when the second toe is longer than the big toe. Oh and when the tonails are yellowish and cracked and hairy toes. All wiggly, i HATE TOES I HATE FEET yuck aargh...I'm going insane. Posted by: Jonas on November 27, 2003 06:33 AMWhen i grew up men never wore sandals. Then all of a sudden men started to wear sandals and now even slides. It used to be considereed feminine. Now guys have no shame! Put some shoes on dude! no one wants to see that!
