Leo...eat your heart out

Phi Phi is beautiful!!! I want to stay forever! Don't listen to the evil lonely planet guide- It appears that they are telling people not to go, but seriously as long as it's not peak season it's sooooo worth a visit.

The beaches are pretty, and if you do a tour of the Islands then you get to see the place where the beach was filmed.
In my, Jerome and Jonathans case (his mate frm Samui) we decided instead to go on a snorkelling trip. It's great, and I wouldn't say- don't do it, but be prepared to get stung!!!! Don't ask me what it is exactly (from what I understand, it's something to do with all the jellyfish) but there are little stingers in the water and they bloody hurt!!! Besides that, you get to chill on a boat all day and sunbathe so i wasn't complaining.
It was the evening of the full moon party so we were chilling out, basically to save our energy for later in the evening. We met a couple of cool chicks on the boat, called Lindsay and Julia and proceeded straight to a bar for some pre-party cocktails and arranged to meet up later on for the party. Unfortunately we probably went a bit far with the pre-party cocktails and weren't really in the frame of mind to STOP drinking at this point, but somehow teared ourselves away. We were also spirred on by the fact that there were apparently big storms at Ko Phangnan and the party there had been called off- oh how nice it is to laugh at someone elses misfortune hahahaha!!!
Not without culture, obviously, we made our way down to the beach, where they release these floating candle displays as part of a religious festival at full moon. We's been and bought one each and they are supposed to release your sins and make your wishes come true. I lost patience with mine as the candle wouldn't stay lit, so I just chucked it in the end and bobbed off upside down. I don't believe in that stuff anyway...
The party (our party, that is) started at the Apache bar, where they had a fire show -not unlike the ones they have every single night, might I add- but none-the-less we started on a few whiskey buckets, and bumped into a guy called Wade who Jerome had met at the airport. (Strangely this kind of thing happens a lot more the more you travel around... ) and he and his friends started on a drinking game which I think got us on our way. We were joined by a guy called Tristan who I just remember as being very very drunk. I will explain the game, although it will probably sound quite shit now. You basically tie a napkin over the top of an ashtray, with say a hairband. Place a coin in the middle and proceed to burn holes in the napkin with a cigarette, always nearer to the coin than the person before, and the person who makes the coin drop has to down their drink. Believe me it sounds dull now, but after whiskey buckets it was the best game on the planet.
Especially when I discovered that in fact you DIDN'T have to down the contents of the ashtray, which is what I was sure I heard someone suggest...
Anyway, usual carnage ensued... People laying and passing out on the beach, chatting to random Swedish strangers (that was mostly me, have to admit) and lots of shots (also me) but in the end as everyone staggered off, at god knows what time. And the next day was just PAIN. All we could manage wa a thai massage (which didn't help, as I think the woman who performed mine was trying to kill me- at least thats what it felt like) and I had an early night.
And today it is off to Phuket on the Ferry....
