We arrive in Trivandrum and arrange some digs. All of us feeling rough, but we manage to muster enough energy to have a look around the town. After one afternoon looking around we decide we have seen all there is to see, and set about arranging onward transport for the following day. Heading for Madurai, a temple town in the state of Tamil Nadu. We get tickets for a sleeper train the following night which means we have another whole day to waste in Thrivandrum, and there really isn’t much to do here. I spend the next 24 hours generally doing not much, eating sleeping, reading.
