Had a great time at the weekend! Really hit me on the way back on sunday...you are actually going!!!!
Will miss you really badly and so will your little niece.
Just wanted to say how very proud of you I am(probably never said that!!) but I am and I will keep checking your progress on here.
We are going to plot your route on a big map so Lucy knows where Unc. Mark is at all times.
Take care and look after yourself and come back safe.
I will look after Mum and Dad so don't worry about them.

All my love as always

Your big sis.

Cobra

It was great to finally make it back to the infamous Brightlingsea last weekend. I was surprised to find that most people in the town had the usual amount of limbs & noses - as you have told me in the past how you had been one of the better looking locals.

Anyway, in the last eight years of knowing you I have found you mainly, at the bar and talking nonsense. You are a top man and will be missed in Brighton, Portslade and some parts of Hanover.

Have a fantastic time on your travels. As you know I'm very envious of your plan(s) and I will definitely meet you at (at least) one of your exotic locations.

Take care buddy & stay Groovy.

Hiya Markie. Great website petal, but aren't you kidding yourself about being tired and sore after footy because of your rabies jab? Anyway, it's not like you to be tired after a measly 90 minutes.

Last night was the first game without you, and believe me, you were sorely missed.

On behalf of all of the Portslade gay, lesbian and bi football squad - good luck with your travels, and hurry home soon.

PS - I'll see if I can look out some photos of us to remind you of home.

Hello Farthing,

I hope (but doubt) your arrival went smoothly, and that you've got enough breathing space to plan the first bit of your journey.

Just as little happens without you as it did when you were here, but I thought you might like to now that all houses bordering Old Shoreham Road have had a compulsory purchase order slapped on them to allow road widening. Apparently if the owners don't come forward within one month then the houses become the property of the state. I'll try and get over there in the next few weeks to see what I can do, but I'm pretty busy.

Actually, I'm busy trying to get your name printed on the front of a Brighton bus like FatBoy Slim etc. The campaign is going surprisingly well, because I've circulated a petition asking who would like to see Mark Farthing plastered across the front of a double-decker. Forty thousand signatures and rising...

Enjoy yourself Farthingo, and don't (even in your most dire, dysentry-induced moments) think that things are any better here. Let me know if there's anything you need sorting out/ finding out back in Brighton and think of us in our fart-filled, coffee-breathed offices.

Up yours,

Ben

Hello Mark
Glad to hear you have arrived safely, even if you do not appear to know where you are!! I can't believe it is just a week ago that we were at your leaving party, it was good fun and great to see your crowd pulling talent is still as good as ever.

Today is wet and grey back here and your Aunt Shelia has experienced a traffic incident with a Mazda driver demolishing her front concrete wall that has stood for 70 years! Car driver and Shelia are both fine, wall is no longer and car was towed away! That is about as exciting as it gets here at the moment so pleased to hear that you are eating well and having fun finding your way about. Will check into the site while I eat my lunch at work and keep Shelia updated.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you do write very well!

Glad you arrived in one piece and hope you have a great time with Ennis to keep you company for a bit.

I hope you are wearing your very attractive sweatband still - it will keep you safe remember!

Miss you.....

Have fun
