December 15, 2004Bio
The concept is simple - us, one year, traipsing about the globe. Cruising at altitude out of Sydney with two OneWorld Explorer tickets in hand, along with too many books and sundry other bits of paraphernalia, we plan to see as many parts of this crazy-big world as we can. Call it indulging our curiousity! The only catch is this: we've already been on the road for six out of our allotted twelve months. In that time, we've bounced from Mexico to Cuba to the bright lights and big cities of the US. From there, we sampled fjord-life in Norway, learnt to love salted liquorice in Finland and Sweden, and fell in love with big-city life in Russia. Next came trials and tribulations in the Middle East, in which we became acquainted on an up-close-and-personal basis with travel illnesses of all stripes. Soldiering on with increasingly gritted teeth, we made it out of Oman with a sigh of undisguised relief. Now we find ourselves in South East Asia, refreshed and ready to tackle the second half of this travel-manic year. Join us as we wield our chopsticks and slurp our noodles with the best of 'em! To put faces to names, here are two pics from earlier in this trip: here I am eating with what might be a runcible spoon and here is Andrew schlepping about in London. Comments
