Hell yeah I had an awesome birthday!

It started out on Wednesday, the day before my birthday. We had our regular Whammy Wednesday meeting at our friend Tony's record shop, Unified Groove Merchants, instead of our house. My friend Kat even made me a cake and I got my first birthday song that evening.

It was a good time, really low key and chilled out. All the guys took turns hanging out and talking and spinning records, so we got to hear all of their different styles. It was a great get together with all of my Whammy friends.

And I thoroughly enjoyed my cake...

The next night, Thursday, was the much publicized birthday party at the B-Side. On the bill were DJs Breezy Brown, SuperVillan, Nealie Neal and Brainchild. I went to dinner before the party and arrived at the B-Side around 9pm to find a great welcome:

People steadily arrived and as the music ramped up so did the mood in the club. The feeling at the party was amazing because everybody there knew everyone else either directly or through friends so there was a high feeling of comradarie. Everyone was dancing, drinking, laughing and getting down. It was a perfect night and I can say with all certainty that EVERYONE there had the best time!

And around midnight, when everyone had arrived, the dancing really began. Brainchild spun an amazing set and the crowd was dancing like crazy. It was hellafied fun!
