Beach Bumming in Thailand

If it's snowing where you are, you might not want to read this!

We headed out to the southern peninsula of Thailand, to Khao Lak on the Andaman Sea coast for some snorkelling, elephant riding and beach bumming.

It was a really relaxing week and half at the Posideon Bungalows. This is the view of the bay from our little bungalow. The snorkelling along the shore was pretty good, little fishes and some coral, but even better was the reef where we went offshore with some newfound friends, Andrej and Vika.

We also went on a great elephant ride, and fed the elephant afterward. Here's what it looks like on top of an elephant. It was totally cheesy, but great fun!

Here's us on the elephant!

At the end of the day, there's always the sunset.

The only less relaxing part of the trip was the 12 hour (each way) bus trip. At least it was an air conditioned bus.

We'll write next from Down Under!

Hi Matt and Robin,

Happy Turkey Day! Hope you're enjoying the holiday wherever you are. We're all going to Bob and Meg's. The Kuhlke's are celebrating with the Zicko's in Atlanta. This is the first Thanksgiving in my memory that no one from Ardsley will be here as Chris went out to Pat and Shyrls'!
Love, Pam
