Crikey! Where is their Next Destination?

We've been in Bangkok for a few days now, thinking about where to go next---hmmm, Matt's been singing a lot of Men at Work lately....

We'll be on the beach in Southern Thailand for a couple weeks, then back to Bangkok, (our home away from home).

We'll then get on a plane to......Australia!!! Melbourne to be exact, then we'll head up to Sydney, then onto New Zealand for the holidays.

If you are in Australia reading this, let us know! We'd love to meet up with you!

Cheers,

Robin and Matt

Wow! I didn't know you'd be leaving Asia so soon. Happy (belated) anniversary to you both, and happy (belated) birthday, Robin! How fun it is to read about your adventures. I'm especially excited about the dragon boat races that you saw. :) Have a fabulous time in Australia. I'm looking forward to reading your next posting. And I miss you! (Don't forget to (try to) plan your return trip through Chicago. I'm out of PDX in about 7 weeks. Yikes!)

G'day Mates!
Just heard that Robin threw in the towel here at URscrewd! I'm so proud of you! I have lots of friends south east of Brisbane in the Gold coast area if you make it that far north. Send me a email directly and I'll respond with thier info. In Sydney you MUST climb the harbour bridge. Weekdays are the cheapest. But a twilight hike is the best! Stay away from the 3 sisters formation near Katoomba in the Blue Mountians too many tourist! But there are lots of other hikes to do near there without the tourist and you still get the great views of the Blue Mountians. (It's really a valley) The commuter train will take you all the way out there from Sydney. Just tough to get around once there. If you get up to the Gold Coast you have to rent a 4x4 and go camping on Fraser Island. Southern most point is Rainbow Beach, a lot less tourists than the other connection points. Make sure to pay attention to the high tide charts! Outfitters will stock you with all of the very basic enssentials. Get an air matress and a lot of bug spray for the inland trails. The beaches only have giant horse flys, which you have to kill or be bitten. The views are incredibule and worth the pesky bugs. THe 4 wheeling is OUT of this world! Glad to hear about al the fun you've been having in Asia. Take care and tip a pint for me!
