This is the place on the blog where you get to see who we are and who we hang out with when we’re home in Portland, Oregon. It may also be known as the place that we’ll probably go to read when we are homesick!

We live in Southeast Portland, in a 1922 Bungalow style house. When we bought the house in 1998, only one other person had lived in it-so we were told. We’ve been fixing it up slowly, and have been really happy with the progress. It has been great to watch our neighborhood grow over the years that we’ve lived here.

We have a cat, Oliver, who will be guarding the house while we are gone.

Before we left on our big trip, we went back to the East Coast. We did the usual visiting the family stuff, but we also went to see the NY Yankees play the Texas Rangers. Here we are with Matt’s sister Alyson watching
