reflecting?
Monday, May 12th, 2008i’d like to say i’ve spent the 2 weeks since my return reflecting on the valuable lessons learned in my travels, but if fact i’ve been pretty darn lazy. not physically, but mentally :). you see, my cable-tv got hooked up. after 5 months without tv i went on a little binge, but i’m over it now. and even more than that, i got sucked into US politics. i am not over THAT. i am downright scared.
it was really difficult to arrange connection of phone and internet without a phone to begin with. especially since my building’s intercom dials a phone! i resorted to waiting out front with a book to read so i could be assured i’d catch the technician. but comcast appointments were consistently late and i ended the experience with a deep distaste for comcast. they did contact me after receiving my written complaint and they did give me a credit on my bill, but i have no confidence future experiences will be different.
so – i just wanted you to know i have a few topics on which i intend to write (not complaints about comcast). i still want to write about favorites and lessons learned – and i shall. be patient :). in the mean time, i’m enjoying sunny days, walking around lake merritt, visiting with friends and a godson, and generally just chillin’. maybe in the next few days :).
