Too Many Photos
August 3rd, 2010I spent three weeks and three days traveling in Spain and Italy this past June. And I am still sorting through over 1300 photos that I took. Finally it occurred to me to take it one step, one day at a time. Thus this (post) travelogue. Essentially I’m posting my favorite images and writing about the trip. June 11th & 12th, Barcelona, Spain
My trip started in Barcelona. I met my good friend Margaret there on June 11th. It was raining the first day and we went to the Picasso Museum. We went to Barcelona because Margaret has a passion for Gaudi architecture. On June 12th I saw my first Gaudi masterpiece: Casa Batllo. Whats truly amazing to me is that he built these structures in the late 1800s. Casa Batllo was built in 1877.

Side walk tiles with our feet. I adore how everything in Barcelona has some sort of decorative element, including the sidewalks.
