September 30, 2004Temporary Blog Update
3-A So... what happened to the blog? Where are the entries I promised? Where are the pictures? Will somebody have to fly out here to choke me into delivering on the goods? The answer is no, not yet. I have some entries ready to load up, but, alas, the blog has run into temporary TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. Seems I need certain stuff I didn't have and didn't think I needed in order to recharge my camera batteries. Rest assured that blame has been apportioned and that I have apportioned it to everybody other than myself. It may take me a few days to get what I need --- possibly through next week when I get to Quito, Ecuador. Once I am able to fix this, I will post at least 5 or 6 updates in a row (all at once) and then, hopefully, things will get back on track. I have not given up on the blog... the blog will go on. This post will not go on, however. I am currently in Utila, on the Honduran Bay Islands and, to give some perspective, beer is about $0.85 per bottle while internet use is at least $6.00 per hour. I need to get off of this thing and use my resources appropriately... Comments
If it's 85 cents a bottle and 6 bucks to check in with us---I believe I would be passed out on grassy knoll somewhere with a Quito Lager in hand. I'll try and download you some of Chris' famous grilled meats soon! Yup... still hate you! Posted by: Sarah on October 1, 2004 02:04 AMDid I mention this place is paradise? Posted by: Josh on October 1, 2004 11:27 AMBTW if Schatten is going to be meeting up with you I will have to lower your odds of survival significantly. Let's say 1 in 20 to be conservative, probably closer to 1 in 50 if those 85 cent bottles of beer are as commonplace as I suspect. Also you look skinny in your pictures, you used to be nice and fat, what happened? Posted by: BT on October 1, 2004 03:40 PMBT -- I took up crystal meth and got a membership at Globo gym. That was years ago -- thought you knew. Posted by: Josh on October 2, 2004 11:51 AMJosh, Linda - Seeing as how I lately spend all of my time eating great food, drinking cheap beer, lounging on the beach and scuba diving along one of the best coral reef systems on the planet, I would suggest that you not stop hating me anytime soon. Quit! Show some solidarity! Posted by: Josh on October 5, 2004 05:26 PM |
