I can’t belive how different singapore is compared with malaysia and it’s only about 6 hour bus ride from capital to capital.
KL s way more reflective of the rest of SE Asia than singapore is. Squat toilets, crazy drivers, tons of scooters, dirty, and crowded. Yesterday it took all day to get to KL and we arrived during one of the rainstorms so we were soaking wet the instant we got off the bus. (it’s monsoon season).
On the plus side it is way cheaper. One hour for internet costs 1.00 canadian dollar. And I think I should have changed my booking to fly out of singapore after a month so that I could check out south east asia more thouroughly. Kiyo told me it should be cheap to go to indonesia by ship from australia so now I am considering it!
KL signage is only in Malay, unlike singapore which has 4 languages on every sign, english, chinese, singaporean and something else I can’t remember at the moment. 😀
I’ve seen the twin towers but you can’t get in to the bridge unless you line up at an ungodly hour in the morning to get a ticket. It’s that famous movie that was used in the move entrapment with Catherine zeta Jones….
