Sentosa Island

I just got back from a long day of walking. I went to Sentosa Island, an entirely manmade entertainment island, to a couple of the many attractions there including the beach. The first thing we did was take the gondola up to Mount Faber for the spectacular view of the bay before taking the same gondola to Sentosa Island. It only cost 10.00. (found out the singapore dollar is close to CDN so I don’t bother to do conversions)

Rumi, Dale and this Japanese guy we just met all played beach volleyball. Rumi and I swam in the ocean while the boys hung out in the shade cuz neither had swimsuits. (Dale has been waiting for his luggage from Qantas for 7 days and has only one pair of clothes!!)After spending the entire afternoon there we then visited some of the other sights by walking one of the trails.

After we were done seeing the merlion, one of the only things that was no admission, I told them we should eat in Chinatown. Very cool place at night. There is so much oging on and the street vendors are very clean so I had no problems buying food from them. Rumi and I bought about 5 different dishes so that we could try them all!

Dale had never eaten any of the stuff he tried that night which was everything!

There were a very good troop of dragon/ lion dancers in one of the squares. also had a contortionist do cool stuff.

running out of time….
