This is my last entry before taking off! I’m nervous and have been having bad thoughts of plane crashes. That’s never happened to me before, I’ve never worried about the trip there but I’m sure it’s cuz my “holiday” will be so long! I also don’t think that it’ll really sink in until I’m on the plane. I’m sure I’ll start freaking out, telling the flight attendant to turn the plane around so I can go back. Today I saw 4 different people for “coffee” to squeeze ’em all in but unfortunately I still missed a few people.
I tried actually closing my backpack today and realized I had a problem! Although I only packed 2 pairs of pants and 6 tops, I can’t close the bag without a struggle. Who knew that all the incidentals would take up so much space in my bag? Out went the fancy body spray, the inflatable mattress, the sweater will have to go into the daypack along with the windbreaker! Then I realized I forgot the socks… crap…
I’ve met someone on the thorntree.lonelyplanet.net that is in visiting Singapore right now and I’ve got her Singaporean cell number. I’ll call her and meet up at a coffee shop or something to see if she’s who she says she is (teaching in London but originally from NY) and if we get along. If she’s not a crazy and we do get along, I’ll have a buddy for my day trips to Malaysia…
