Happy Easter 08

I hope everyone has a nice break and good time with their family.

This evening I had dinner with Adam’s dad and step-mom and step sister. Fran and Glen always make great food and I come away stuffed. Our appetizer was proscuttio with honeydew melon as well as a light salad. Tonight’s mains: lamb with mint sauce, pear and butternut squash in mahogany sauce, scalloped potatoes and asparagus spears. So tasty! Topped off with tiramisu for dessert. Oh yes. *drool*

I also tried an interestingly delicious sounding dark rum drink made with ginger beer and orange juice. It had quite a bit of a bite. I think they had a strong ginger beer. I’m not really a fan of ginger beer on it’s own but mixed with orange juice it was pretty good. And both of these disguised the dark rum taste pretty well. (I don’t really like strong tasing alcohol)
