NCFRC Alumni Dinner

I made plans with about 7 old co-workers to get together for dinner this coming Wednesday. It’ll be good because some of them I’ve not seen in ages. It’s not like me to usually keep in touch with my former co-workers. I don’t know why but every other job I’ve had, I’ve not gotten that attached to the people there, just NCFRC.

I know people hang out with their co-workers in off hours but that never really occurs to me. When I was working in Sydney at a temp agency there always had drinks on Friday afternoons (4.30pm) and everyone worked overtime for about an hour or so. But for the most part, every other job I’ve been, we just chat and hang out at work but not too much afterwards.

What are your experiences? Do you find a lot of friends at work or do you just stick with the ones you’ve already got?

EDIT:
It was a great dinner. It was lots of fun to hear what everyone was up to the past few years. The restuarant had great food, and made plans to do it again. My only complaint was that we were at a long table and I could really chat too well with the people at the other end.
