Waterfalls and Races

I was driving back from visiting a friend and there was a lot of traffic on the High Level bridge over the North Saskatchewan river. As I drove over the bridge I noticed that the man made waterfall was on. It’s weird cuz it ususally only runs on Canada Day for people to watch the waterfall before the fireworks start. The Great Divide waterfall is piped up and falls from the top of the bridge over the pedestrian crossing so that if you are walking across you can get wet and view the falls from the underside. It’s pretty cool. I had never seen it running on a day that wasn’t Canada Day. It turns out that it was turned on for the Sourdough Raft Race they had that morning…
