Gold Class at the Movies

Last week I found a coupon for a free upgrade to gold class when you purchase a regular priced ticket. So, I kept my eye out for another one and when I found it Eveline and I went to see Tristan and Isolde. The seats were extremely cushy and reclined almost horizontal (although the extra cushy bump at the top of the seat was still at the wrong spot). We went all out (we were in GOLD CLASS afterall!) so at the beginning of the movie my ice chocolate came, and at the half hour mark Eveline’s latte and our cheesecake and taramisu came.
Movie was excellent btw.

Our luxurious afternoon turned into an eventful evening. On the way back to the car after the movie, I “lost” the car keys and it wasn’t until we walked all the way back to the movie theatre, I rechecked the seats, the gold class bathroom, and then dumped everything out of my bag that we found it in amongst my receipts! Feeling very sheepish, we left the parking lot and all I had to do is “chuck a u-ey”. But the car didn’t make a tight enough turn and the front tyre bumped the curb. 2 minutes later, I we pulled over and I pulled out the gear to change the darned flat tyre. After about 10 minutes of Eveline and I trying to figure out why the diagrammed instruments in the car manual didn’t look like the ones we had taken out of the boot when a good samaritan pulled over and changed it for us. He had just recently moved to Australia from South Africa, learning to become a personal trainer so this was just a little bonus workout for him..hah

By the time we got back to the house, it was 8pm and we missed family dinner. They saved us some though, it was a very yummy make your own vietnamese rolls. TASTY!

Eveline commented how calm I was when we discovered the leaky tyre(btw, this is how the Aussies spell tire). Her imitation of what her reaction would have been was really funny (lots of cursing and scolding herself) whereas I just said “I think there’s something wrong, the car is pulling to the left.” and then I pulled over to take a look.
