Mt. Kilimanjaro on New Years
I will be part of the BootsnAll group attempting to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for New Years 2006 this year. The trip is fully booked and I am getting a little bit excited. I’ll try to use this for my travel postings instead of Sean.Keener.org

Hello, I am sure you are excited, but you will be disappointed after your climb, seeying how the K is treated. It is nothing more than a touristic thing. You pay a lot, surrounded by a cook, a carrier, a driver, a manager (lot of people), asking you all the time for more money and etc. On the other hand, they will make sure you get to to the top, even if they must push you.
So, maybe a good idea to do some more investigations, and try another spot. What about mount Kenia, or Nogorogor crater. Less touristic.
Anyway, you will have fun, its not that depressing.
Bye
