Christmas and New Year

It felt a little weird this year, normally christmas to me is all about time off work and getting drunk, but this year because I had already finished work and I knew I didnt have to go back I didn’t feel like I had to go out and get drunk all the time – weird I know!
Anyway, I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day working in the poachers, trying to get together some last minute money to go travelling with. Spent in between Christmas and New Year with family and friends.
Then the idea of a winter BBQ on 30th Dec sounded quite good, it started off well, by about 8pm – bladdered!! My first drinking seshion over Christmas. It was then continued at various pubs and houses ending in me walking home at 1pm the next day not feeling much like going out again to celebrate New Years Eve in 4 hours time. However at 6pm (only an hour late!) the blue WKD was in hand at Martha’s pre pub party and the drunkenness started all over again. I think a good night was had by all – although in all honesty can’t actually remember that much. What I can remember is really appreciating my bed on New Years Day after 2 nights of sleeping on sofa’s and floors!!!
Now Christmas and New Year are out of the way all that’s left is to sort out all my travelling stuff, only minor things like getting a backpack, travel insurance, decent coat and trainers, and pretty much everything else you need for a year as I haven’t done anything yet! So I’d best go and start sorting things out! Chow x
