Travelling In Winter

Being the well travelled bear that I am, here are some thoughts I would like to share with you about Travelling In Winter:

Things that are cool:-
- A lot less American Gringos, all though you do miss their rather charmingly naive comments
- No one getīs to see how white and fat you are as itīs too cold to show any flesh
- Frequent trips to the pub to get out of the cold
- Lots of football, no matter which country you are in
- A lighter backpack owing to the fact that you are wearing most of your clothes
- A lot less hawkers - they seem to fly south for the winter
- No stinky summer streets

Things that suck:
- A lot more Australian Gringos, most of whom seem to be drunk
- Not getting any less white or fat as you aren'tīt showing any flesh and far eating far too many nutella crepes
- And drinking too much beer
- No chicks in bikiniīs having water fights
- No heating in the hostel or the overnight trains (but you do save a few euros that way)
- The super fun looking attractions. That are all closed
- Stinky winter streets
- The whooping cough that we all seem to have developed

On balance the bad seems to outweigh the good a little ..... Iīm off in search of sun.
