Reunion

If possible, don't fly with Royal Nepal Airlines, domestic flight was one hour delayed and almost cann't get to Pokhara as the airport closes by 5pm.

And yes, the plane confirmed to be a Twin Otter. According to Jake (he works in Lufthansa), this TwOtts can get its water-skies replaced by wheels instead and there you are, flying over the Himalayas! He also confirms that the airport has one single runway and it's used for both domestic and international flights, scarry...

Turbulences in our way to Pokhara...I still feel damn sick.

I thought I wouldn't meet up my trekking buddies...but they made it! They departed from India three days ago...the bus trip was originally 20 hour-long from the border with Nepal but over a dozen police controls and a compulsory night halt made it one day longer.

Pokhara is kind of a touristic resort but low season now. See the Annapurna South (left) and Machhapuchhare (right) peaks from Pokhara:

Here is material for T's research on IT and development in third world countries: Internet conexion slow but plenty of cybercafes in touristic areas. Nepali people use it mostly for e-mail purposes. They charge us per minute but at 1/100th the price in London. I've met a group of Korean volunteers who are training Nepali gov officials in the usage of MS software. They might recruit me for some project in China?
