Arrival

Arrived to Kath in the afternoon and made my first two Nepali friends: one of them has even invited me to a Hindu wedding! Learned my first Nepali words... Too bad, I have to be in Pokhara in the evening...

People stare at me a lot. They are curious and seeing me travelling alone, they come up to me and chat...as a result, I've just learned some more Nepali...Even tourists here are friendlier and more talkative than usual, mostly Asians and Europeans, haven't met any Americans yet, though.

First time I see Mount Everest, from the plane but the Himalayan range is so beautiful.

Kath is immensely larger than it looks like here:

You must have a good experience.
Travelling alone is not bad.
You can meet a lot of people and do whatever you like.
Hope you come back to HK safely.
Take care !

MAC,

Junko,

Thks for your message. It's great hearing from u.

Eventually, I met up my trekking buddies in Pokhara and everything has been just GREAT!

Yet, there is a strike this Sun. launched by the Maoists and we're not sure how we will get to Kath...

Let's wait and see...this is the Nepali mindset.
