survived the bombing

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

well,

sometime you just get lucky, I was in the bazaar in Cairo Egypt, where the bomb went off, we left some thirty minutes after we left.  I guess life is like that just a series of twists and turns, and sometimes you are just lucky.

Now I am in Luxor, and the security is everywhere, on the bus with us is an armed guard. there are security forces everywhere.  Karnac temple was not bad however, with a minimum of enforcement.l

On March 2 we are headed for the valley of the Kings, and  will see how things go.

Booked the last of about 13 flights from US to OZ. Decided to take some time in Tazmania, New Zealand as well as Australia. We are looking forward to exploring Taz. looks like we will be there about a week. Final trip has us in Oz from Sept. 13, 08. to Oct 11. Hope at least there is a good movie or two on the flight. Also looking to buy a pocket computer to take with. After Africa, packing for Oz seem to easy. Looking for a diving class this summer to get my certification
